Privacy policy

Last updated : 16 July 2026

Raise Avocats attaches the utmost importance to the protection of your personal data. This policy explains which data we process, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

01

Data controller

The data controller is Raise Avocats (a SELARL of lawyers), whose registered office is at 24 avenue Jules Janin, 75116 Paris. For any question relating to your data : team@raise-avocats.com.

02

Data collected

We collect only the data that is strictly necessary :

  • Contact form : last name, first name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and content of your message ;
  • Direct exchanges : the information you send us by email or phone ;
  • Browsing data : only anonymous, aggregated statistics (cookie-free audience measurement, see § 6). No data allowing you to be identified is retained.

No sensitive data is requested via the site. Please do not send confidential information relating to a matter through the contact form.

03

Purposes & legal bases

  • Responding to your enquiry and, where applicable, establishing a relationship — basis : pre-contractual measures and the firm's legitimate interest ;
  • Managing the client relationship and handling matters — basis : performance of the contract ;
  • Complying with our legal obligations (invoicing, anti-money-laundering, accounting retention) — basis : legal obligation ;
  • Measuring the site's audience to improve it, using anonymous statistics — basis : our legitimate interest in improving the site, with a right to object.
04

Data recipients

Your data is intended solely for the firm's lawyers and staff authorised to access it. It may be disclosed to our technical providers acting on instruction and on our behalf only, in particular our host OVHcloud (data hosted in France / the European Union).

We do not sell or rent your data. No transfer is made outside the European Union. Your data may only be passed to a third party upon request from an authority or to comply with a legal obligation.

05

Retention periods

  • Prospects / contact enquiries : 3 years from the last contact left without follow-up ;
  • Clients : for the duration of the relationship, then 5 years under the statute of limitations, and up to 10 years for accounting records ;
  • Audience measurement : anonymous statistics kept for a maximum of 13 months ; no IP address or identifying data is retained.
06

Analytics — cookie-free

The site uses an in-house, privacy-friendly audience measurement that sets no cookie and stores no information on your device. No advertising cookie or third-party tracker is used.

To distinguish visits without identifying you, a strictly anonymous identifier is computed server-side (a one-way fingerprint derived from your IP address and browser, with a key renewed daily). Your IP address is never retained : only aggregated indicators are recorded (pages viewed, source of the visit, device type). No profiling, no cross-site tracking, no advertising use.

This measurement, limited solely to producing anonymous statistics for our own account, falls within the consent exemption recommended by the CNIL ; this is why no banner is imposed on you.

You may object to this measurement at any time by enabling your browser's “Do Not Track” signal, or by writing to us at team@raise-avocats.com.

07

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data :

  • the right of access, rectification and erasure ;
  • the right to restriction of and objection to processing ;
  • the right to portability of the data you have provided to us ;
  • the right to set directives regarding the fate of your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to us at team@raise-avocats.com or by post to the firm's registered office, providing proof of your identity. We respond within one month.

08

Security & professional secrecy

The firm implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to preserve the security and confidentiality of your data and to prevent any unauthorised access. In addition, all information exchanged in the course of our engagements is covered by lawyer-client professional secrecy, a particularly protective public-policy guarantee.

09
